What is your blog called? My blog is called StressedMum

How long have you been blogging? I have been blogging for nearly a year - where has the time gone
What is your blog niche? Parenting - mainly pre-teen and lifestyle

Why do you blog? I blog, because I enjoy it, and because I love sharing stories and talking about various topics, also due to a total change in our lives this year I blog about chronic illness as well.

What made you start blogging? I used to love reading blogs and following a few, and thought I would love to have a go, even if no one read my blog, it would be memories for me and my family to look back on.

How long did you have your blog before you started to tell people that you had it?  I just used to mention it in conversations if something came up.  Some people just do not understand blogging and just do not get why I started blogging, and others are really supportive.

What is the funniest Google search people have used to find your blog? Older mums in school uniforms - I have no idea how this came up, but I was talking about school uniforms in a post

Who is your most famous Twitter follower? I do not think I have a famous twitter follower

Buffer or Hootsuite? Hootsuite

What is your best blogging achievement? It is bittersweet really, but gaining new followers due to my posts on ME/CFS

Have you ever had a fail with a blog post like not noticing a typo? Unfortunately, yes I have

Have you ever sent the wrong email to a PR, or misread it and sent the wrong reply? Not yet, but watch this space as I am sure it will happen one day

Have you ever met any celebrities through your blog?  I haven't as of yet

Where do you see your blog in 1 years time?  Hopefully I will still be here, I am still learning as there is so much more to blogging than just writing a post and publishing it.  So am hoping I have learnt a lot more and am successful
Where do you see your blog in 10 years time?  I think it will change more to StressedNanny rather than StressedMum as my youngest is 12 and eldest 21.  I think it will be more family and lifestyle

What is the favourite blog post that you have ever written? My post about Being a Stepmum, I wrote it from the heart and got a very positive response

Dear Baby

Dear Baby,

Sorry for the impersonal opening, but I don't even know what your name is now, I don't know if your forever family have changed it. Everyday I think about you, it was worse in the run up to your first birthday. I don't know where you are or what you are doing because you were adopted for your own safety. You needed protecting from your dad, I wont bad mouth him, because I know you need to make your own opinion up as you grow up.

I wanted to give you a home, I wanted to be your nanny and I wanted to love you. But so did your mum, she wanted you so much and in the end we both lost you to strangers. Those strangers are now your parents, the ones who are protecting you and loving you. You will always be my grand daughter and I know that one day we will meet, I am determined of that.

You have such a special little place in my heart, and we will be celebrating your birthday in our own little way. We are in Europe, because It has been such a difficult year for everyone. I wanted a distraction, I wanted to show your aunty Tilly, that there are still good people in the world. She has been through so much for such a little girl, she knows things that six year olds shouldn't know.

I have lost count of the amount of tears that have rolled down my cheeks, thinking about you and how things should have been. I feel empty inside as if I had lost one of my own children, you are part of us and I know you you always will do. I hope you have the same spirit that your mummy has, because that makes you who you are and you will always have something of your mummy in you.

I am writing you this birthday letter because I hope that you will use the internet to search for your family as you get older and come of age. I hope and pray you will find us when the time is right, Some days I think that is the only thing that keeps me going. Every day, month and year that passes means I am getting closer to meeting you. I won't look at it as it has been a year since you were born and taken away, I will look at it as only 17 more year until we are able to meet you. By then you will be a beautiful young lady, maybe even the same age as your mum was when she had you. You would love your mum, she is so spirited, she is beautiful and she knows what she wants - nobody can make her change her mind. Your mum wanted the best for you, she really looked forward to you being born, she loved cuddling her belly when you were inside her and she loved to talk about her plans for when you were born. She had everything a mum could ever need for a baby and more. She really does love you like we all do.

We have all been through a huge life change over the past year and your aunty Kimmy has been a good help, she has been the sensible one out of us all, but it hurt her so much, she maybe 24 but for a while she became my little girl again. You would love her, she would be spoiling you rotton like she does with Tilly.

I know your adoptive parents are looking after you, they are your mummy and daddy. They will protect you from all the bad in the world because that's what mummy's and daddy's do.

We all wish you the happiest of birthdays, Always in our heart

Nanny, Kimmy and Tilly.

Meet The Blogger Behind The Blog - Ranting Gran

Welcome to today's guest post as part of our Meet The Blogger series, today we have Yvette. Please read all about her and get to know her, you will find links in the post of how to follow her and her adventures in blogging.

What is your blog called?
Rantinggran http://rantinggran.com/

How long have you been blogging?
7 months self-hosted but I did about 6 moths on Blogspot prior to that

What is your blog niche?
I don’t really have a niche I just blog about whatever I feel like at the time, I did start out with the plan of a marketing niche as that’s what I have a degree in, but I am a little bi polar so never stick to plans

Why do you blog?
I don’t really like going out to socialize so I enjoy feeling part of the big blogger community, where I can interact as little or often as I want

What made you start blogging?
When I was in uni I needed to keep a blog about the buyer behavior process as part of an assignment, I enjoyed it so much I decided to start blogging regularly.

How long did you have your blog before you started to tell people that you had it?
Months, I used my blogspot as more of a personal diary than anything else, I had the self hosted one for a while before I shared, I still feel very odd sharing with people I know.

Who is your most famous Twitter follower?
I did have Peter Andre for a while as he gave me some merchandise for a charity I was working with, but that was before I blogged and he doesn’t seem to be on there any more

Buffer or Hootsuite?
Neither still a blogging pup, seems like every day there’s new things to use

What is your best blogging achievement?
A friend shared one of my very tongue in cheek posts about domestic abuse and a lady messaged me to say her friend had been staying with her for a few weeks after being beaten by her husband but she was just about to return to the very apologetic pig, but after reading my post she decided not to go back and is now doing quite well making a new life for herself.

Have you ever had a fail with a blog post like not noticing a typo?
Yes lots, I tend to type then post without reading, so had lots of typos L

Have you ever sent the wrong email to a PR, or misread it and sent the wrong reply?
This is another thing I do all the time, I speed read things then reply and after realise the reply isn’t suitable. Just the other day I was puzzled as to how you respond to a mail that said “thank you love you too” luckily it said “thank you love, you too” lol.

Where can the readers find you?
http://rantinggran.com/
https://twitter.com/yvette180
https://www.facebook.com/yvette.morgan.39
https://www.instagram.com/rantinggran/

Where's the weirdest place you have blogged from?
Still a blogging pup so not really done much blogging from weird places, I suppose a wigwam is the weirdest.

Have you ever met any celebrities through your blog?
Not through the blog, but I have met Usher, Labyrinth, Nicole Sherzinger, Fleur East, Amanda Holden, Michael Macintyre, The Hoff, Kelly Hoppam, probably more but cant think of any.

Where do you see your blog in 1 years time?
In a position to answer all your questions lol

Where do you see your blog in 10 years time?
It would be nice to be in a position to advise and help other people

What is the favourite blog post that you have ever written?
I don’t really like my own posts but I suppose it would be either the first post about me and one of my usual odd and very surreal experiences http://rantinggran.com/on-a-more-serious-note/nightmare-on-newhall-stree/ or the post that encouraged the lady to leave her abusive partner, lots of people don’t really get this post, but people who have had to live with sociopaths tell me it’s a description of that person, and writing it helped me release lots of tension after my daughters failed court case. http://rantinggran.com/on-a-more-serious-note/advice-wanna-abusive-scumbags/
